Office Clerk/ Fleet Controller
We are looking for a result driven Office Clerk / fleet controller in Ndola to be responsible for the efficient monitoring and supervision of our trucks as well as Truck drivers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Submitting regular and comprehensive monthly reports to the supervisor on vehicle movements and problems.
- Ensuring that the driver have all the necessary lashing equipment’s before they arrive at the loading and offloading points
- Responsible for monitoring Fuel/vehicle usage analysis and reconciliations and attending to any deviations from the expected normal consumption
- Undertaking or performing any other lawful assignments or instructions issued by the supervisor.
- Responsible at all times for ensuring that all fleet is adequately Insured, Road Taxes and other statutory payments made, repairs and services are done on time.
- Ensure adequate record keeping , manage all documentation and maintain inventory control
- Keep records of service maintenance of fleets

- Record all Part list for as well as company assets
- Strictly following, and ensuring that all drivers understand and strictly follow all Company Health, Safety Security and Environmental requirements, as determined by the Company operating Manual from time to time.
- Debriefing of drivers after a given trip
- Any other tasks that may assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a Certificate or Diploma in Transport and Logistics or other field
- Excellent written and verbal English skills are required
- Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
- Experience in vehicle tracking is an added advantage
- Must possess a Certificate or Diploma in Transport and Logistics
- Must have the ability to use Microsoft office (excel, Word, Power point) and electronic communication methods relevant to the work;
- Multi-skilled and hardworking, with a meticulous and efficient work ethic.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Must have excellent numeracy literacy and organizational skills.
- Able to deliver excellent customer service both internally with work colleagues, and externally, with vendors and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and Inventory management
- Willing to work overtime at short notice, and able to meet tight deadlines
