Consultancy for Behavior Change Communication Curriculum Modification/Enhancement and Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop Delivery in Lusaka, Zambia

Rise Against Hunger (RAH) is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030.

While communities work toward a future in which they can thrive, vulnerable families and individuals around the globe still have basic and immediate needs. That’s why RAH supports safety net programs that provide nourishment, additional skills training, and services that support sustainable development and growth.

As RAH looks to expand its school feeding programs, we acknowledge the need to supplement food assistance programming  with complementary programming in order to deliver a holistic, traditional feeding program to targeted regions and schools. This complementary programming shall include Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), health education, and nutrition behavior change communication (BCC) training.

The pilot ToT for the RAH WASH/Nutrition/health education BCC promotion package is to take place in Lusaka, Zambia. Participants will be drawn from up to three NGOs with whom RAH partners. The workshop will serve to increase the capacity of NGO partners, specifically in primary and secondary school settings, in the country of Zambia. The workshop participants may include teachers, school administrators, school support staff and potentially student-leaders and will be in line with the “train the trainers” paradigm. The goal of the ToT is to equip participants with the tools and knowledge to conduct a series of trainings in their respective schools.
