This position is responsible for all aspects of accounting function for ZambiaWorks in Mongu, Western Province, Zambia. It is the primary liaison with government and donors for financial and accounting matters and will ensure compliance with ZambiaWorks’ internal policies and procedures as well as government and donor regulations.

The person will be seconded to support another subsidiary company, Barotse Cashew Company (BCC).

As part of their support to this subsidiary the accountant will need to:

• Ensure accurate records and timely reporting of sales, inventory, receivables, and cost of goods.
• Ensure that all tax obligations are complied with.
• Three years’ relevant experience is required; international NGO/PVO field office experience is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written English skills are required.
