School of Medicine Library
The School of Medicine (SoM) Branch Library is located within the School of Medicine at the Ndola Central Hospital. The School Library was established in 2011 to serve the information needs of the staff and students of the School. Since its inception, the Medical Library has continued to be a valuable tool in the daily lives of the students, staff and other health personnel that access it for studying and research. The feedback received from the many users of the library has been impressive and indeed humbling considering the level of growth in the numbers of users registered over the recent past. The library provides a wide range of services which include:
- Reference Services
- Library staff provides day to day user guidance to students and other Researchers.
- Electronic Databases
- Apart from print books, the library also provides access to electronic databases e.g. e-Granary
- Information Literacy
- Library staff are involved in teaching library users on how to search for information. This is done at the beginning of every academic year. The process however continues throughout the academic year because not everyone is available for library orientation.
