Recent programming areas include: nutrition, agriculture, food security, HIV/AIDS, WASH, financial inclusion, and early child development.
Job Summary:
Improve CRS coverage through active result tracking from PCR Laboratories into Lab registers, Patient files and Smartcare (where available). Transcription of results into facility documents (manual and electronic). Efficiently provide comprehensive weekly feedback on progress to set targets per site.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deduce true missing VL and EID results of sites under one’s responsibility.
- Actively obtain all missing hard copy results/DISA results from PCR Labs for each facility
- Transcribe into Lab registers all missing VL and EID results.
- Where applicable, log into Smartcare all valid EID and VL results
- Work with site VL.EID champion to log into patient files all obtained results
- Work with M&E teams at site to ensure VL and EID coverage submitted to CRS is accurate.
- Provide weekly scope of work and weekly report of achieved versus agreed upon targetted performance.
- Any other related activities assigned by supervisor.
- Deduce VL and EID coverage gaps and actively work with supervisors to close them.
Typical Background, Experience & Requirements:
Education and Experience
- Biological Sciences/Biomedical Sciences diploma/degree required.
- HPCZ Lab Technologist/Scientist registration required
- Competence in the Microsoft package (especially word and excel) required
- Experience working in a diagnostic Lab will be an added advantage
Personal Skills
- Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Ethical conduct in accordance with recognized professional and organizational codes of ethics
- Proactive, resourceful, solutions oriented and results oriented. Able to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
Required
- Travel Required (90% of the time, staff to be working in facilities and at PCR laboratories)
Key Working Relationships:
Supervisory: CRS Lab Unit
Internal: Technical and SI Departments.
External: PCR Laboratories + CRS supported sites.
