Entry Requirements – Under graduate Programmes

ST. JOSEPH COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES, BOKO CAMPUS

1) Doctor Of Medicine

Course Duration : 5 years

Entry Requirements:

1) Three principal passes in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with minimum entry of 8 points. Whereby one must have at least C grade in Chemistry and Biology and at least D grade in Physics.
2) Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least five (5) passes including two credit passes in chemistry and biology and a D grade in physics PLUS Diploma in clinical medicine with an average of “B+” or GPA of 3.5.
3) OR Bsc (lower second) majoring in physics/mathematics, chemistry, biology/zoology.

Entry Requirements – Diploma Programmes

ST. JOSEPH UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY, MBEZI CAMPUS

1) Diploma in Civil Engineering

Entry Requirements:

  1. Certificate of Secondary Education (Form-4) / with minimum of four passes including “D” pass in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry
  2. ACSE with relevant passes i.e. PCM
  3. Relevant NVA LEVEL 3 plus CSE with passes in PCM

Course duration: 3 years

2) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Entry Requirements:

Applicants must have any of the following:

  1. Holders of Certificate of secondary education examination (CSEE) with four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including ‘C’ passes in Chemistry and Biology, and “D” pass in Physics/Engineering Sciences; a pass in Mathematics and English will be an added advantage
  2. Holders of ACSE with A Principal Pass and Subsidiary pass in Chemistry &Biology
  3. Holders of Technician Certificate in pharmaceutical sciences (NTA Level 5) from recognized institutions or a Pharmaceutical Assistant with at least two years of working experience who has passed entry requirement examination recognized by NACTE.

Course duration: 3 years

2) Diploma in Nursing

Entry Requirements:

Applicants must have any of the following:

  1. Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a minimum of four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including “C” passes in Chemistry and Biology; and “D” pass in Physics/ Engineering Sciences; a pass in Mathematics and English will be an added advantage

Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including “D” passes in Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Engineering Sciences.

Course Duration : 2 year

3) Technician Certificate in Nursing

Entry Requirements:

Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including “C” passes in Chemistry and Biology; and “D” passes in Physics/Engineering Sciences and English Language, pass in Basic Mathematics is an added advantage.
