The Africa Oxford Initiative has partnered with the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine to offer 8-week summer internships to undergraduate and Masters students from Africa.

This is fully-paid opportunity for students to work in a laboratory environment with an Oxford University Principal Investigator (PI) and their team in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine.

Applications for the 2019 Nuffield Department of  Medicine Summer Internship programme are now open: Application deadline is 28th February 2019.

Some previous interns on this scheme have gone on to successfully apply for fully-funded places on our DPhil (PhD) in Clinical Medicine program.

The sixth intake of the short course in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) at Makerere University School of Public Health will run from 27th May to 19th July 2019.

The course aims at equipping practising individuals with appropriate attitudes, adequate skills and scientific knowledge for handling and managing duties and technical procedures in WASH.

Practising officers with limited training in WASH and Environmental Health practitioners who wish to broaden their knowledge and skills as a form of Continuous Professional Development are all encouraged to apply.
