Wanted: Farm Supervisor

To run a small holder start up farm in Mungule area of Chibombo District with possible vegetable, poultry, piggery and fish farming. The Farm is situated about 15 KM from 10 miles of Great North Road. At the moment focus is on Piggery and Chickens and the farm has 9 pregnant sows, 1 bow, 63 piglets at various stages and also about 800 broiler chickens with about 500 chicks for chicken rears, with two general support staff.

REQUIREMENT:

Grade 12 certificate/ Certificate  in General Agriculture from a recognized Agriculture College
Sound knowledge and demonstrated experience in commercial farming with much emphasis on poultry and piggery.
Able to setup farming systems such as record management, procedures, inventory etc.
Experience in supervising labour
Must be married and be able to stay at the farm site
Should be able to start work immediately
Knowledge and experience of marketing poultry and piggery
Not less than 3 years’ experience in poultry and piggery farming for an Agric certificate holder while a grade 12 should have more than 6 years’ experience
Not more than 35 years
