With a distinguished history of quality teacher training since it opened in March 1963 as Kabwe Teachers’ Training College, and then renamed as Kwame Nkrumah Teachers’ College in 1971 by The First Republican President Dr. Kenneth David Kaunda in recognition and honor of Ghana’s founding President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. The Institution is well known for training millions of Zambia’s best teachers and in the region. Each year, the University through ODL graduate high quality teachers in different programmes on offer.
