The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will assist ZCEA to close out two projects which end in October 2021 and she / he will work under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and will be responsible for the following major duties:

  1. In liaison with the project officers, review and update projects MEAL templates.
  2. Assess the projects’ results chain achievements for the past 4 years implementation period;
  3. Collect, document, analyse and populate projects’ data (in the remaining project implementation period) using existing MEAL templates;
  4. Report monthly and quarterly progress on all projects’ activities to the Management;
  5. Identify and recommend to management strategies for strengthening the sustainability of the projects’ results;
  6. In liaison with the project officers facilitate the project end line evaluation.

Required Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor Degree in Economics, Development Studies or both.
  • Specialised/ Further education in Result-Based Management is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience and proven track record in (operational) RBM/ of non-governmental organisations, preferably of NGOs involved in advocacy work.
  • Demonstrable excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to dynamic changes and fast-paced work environment.
  • Understanding of the child rights framework would be an added advantage.
  • Valid, more than 2 years experience, driver’s license an added advantage.
